WWSweetOnions.com is owned and operated by Seth Ruzicka and Family. This is truly a "family owned and operated" business! My dad still grows some of the best Walla Walla Sweet Onions in the valley. I run the marketing and sales operation and my wife and 2 boys help hand sort and pack every beautiful onion that ship out to you and your loved ones.
I am proudly the 4th generation of my family to grow, pack, and/or ship Walla Walla Sweet Onions.
20 years ago when I was helping my dad in the onion fields, moving irrigation pipe and weeding row upon endless row of onions, there was no internet available for our prized onions to be sold, and yet Walla Walla Sweets were still known around the nation. Back then we hand sorted and packed every onion that were shipped to the local highway onion stands, which during the summer months, are still a prominent site on Highway 12 heading into Walla Walla.
Obviously, times have changed; the internet has given us the ability to let the rest of the nation, and even the world, enjoy the great taste of our Walla Walla Sweet Onions. We now have more advanced irrigation, transplanting and harvesting methods that have helped improve yields (and the SWEETNESS!).
Through it all, one thing remains the same-the fact that the Ruzicka Family is still hand sorting and packing every Walla Walla Sweet Onion that ships out to you and your loved ones. We pride ourselves and strive to make our customers happy by shipping only the finest sweet onions that the Walla Walla valley has to offer and to help remind you why our Walla Walla Sweet Onions are so famous and enjoyable!
